dc.description.abstract | Forskningsgrunnlaget i denne bacheloroppgaven tar utgangspunkt i følgende problemstilling:
dc.description.abstract | The research in this bachelor is based on the following thesis question: “How does one
teacher from a Steinerschool and one teacher from the public school use dramatization in
teaching the subject Norwegian, and how can that be linked to the two different pedagogical
perspectives?”. In order to do research on this topic, I chose to do a qualitative study where I
interviewed one teacher from a Steinerschool and one teacher from a public school. In order
to get a hold of academic and didactic reflections from the teachers, it was important to me to
ask specifically for teachers with experience on this topic.
Before the research began, I had formed a hypothesis which led me to believe that the
Steinerschool would have a significantly greater focus on dramatization, than the public
school. This hypothesis is based on my previous experiences of dramatization in the public
school, where most teachers had the standpoint that one should not dramatize just to
dramatize.
An interesting finding here was that even though the two schools base their practice on two
different pedagogical perspectives, the differences between these two schools wasn’t that big.
Both schools set up a theater play per school year. There were also a number of similarities in
how they assessed the Norwegian academic gain by using dramatization as a form of learning.
Although both teachers had their main focus on the vocal and physical gain of drama
exercises, they also expressed their professional reflections on how dramatization can help
stimulation of the students memory, learning different types of genres, and in-depth learning.
The difference between the to teachers was that the one from the Steinerschool, also used
dramatization activities in the classroom, and as a tool to strengthen social competence.
