studien. To barnehagelærere og to grunnskolelærere har blitt intervjuet hver for seg
gjennom semistrukturerte dybdeintervjuer. Funnene fra disse intervjuene blir presentert
gjennom tre hovedkategorier med tilhørende underkategorier.
I kategorien tidlig innsats fremhever deltakerne blant annet kartlegging og
kommunikasjon med andre kolleger som viktige forutsetninger for effektive tiltak. Mange
Her vektlegges betydningen av voksen-barn-relasjonen
dc.description.abstract | The topic of this study is language difficulties, with an emphasis on how kindergartens
and schools work to support children with such difficulties. In addition to this, I wanted
to investigate how kindergarten- and primary school teachers experience cooperation
towards this group, especially in the work of realizing early intervention and good
transitions from kindergarten to school. The aim of this thesis has been to contribute a
better understanding of how educators can support children with language difficulties
both linguistically and socially, and how the interdisciplinary collaboration between
kindergarten, school and external actors works. In this way, I have been able to discuss
the close connection between early intervention, inclusion and coherence in the
transition from kinderkarten to school, which I hope makes this thesis useful for
employees in kindergarten and primary school.
The issue and question highlighted in this study, is the following:
"How do kindergarten and school work to support children with language difficulties, and
how do they experience cooperation towards this group, especially in the transition from
kindergarten to school?»
The study is based on a qualitative and phenomenological research approach, with the
aim of highlighting the perspectives and experiences of those who have participated in
the study. Two kindergarten teachers and two primary school teachers were interviewed
separately through semi-structured in-depth interviews. The findings from these
interviews are presented through three main categories with associated subcategories.
The category early intervention shows that the participants is emphasizing mapping and
communication with other colleagues as important prerequisites for effective measures.
Further, the teachers largely strives for an inclusive and preventive practice by
implementing language measures within the community, such as working with
articulation, language activities and utilizing dialogues in natural settings. The category
social inclusion focuses on how the teachers are working to support the child socially and
psychologically. In this case, the importance of the adult-child-relationship and their own
communication with the child is emphasized, in addition to attitude work and
strengthening the child's established friendships. This was also considered as important
for the child's experience of safety and coherence in the transition to school. At the same
time, challenges in the work with friendships and inclusion were mentioned. These
challenges were linked to the fact that the social consequences can change with age and
the language difficulties potential impact on the child's behavior. Relating to the last
category, interdisciplinary collaboration, the teachers had somewhat different
experiences. However, several have positive experiences with the collaboration between
kindergarten, school and external actors, especially when it comes to guidance and
information transmission regarding children who have received special educational help
in kindergarten. Beyond this, however, the findings suggests somewhat lacking
cooperation and communication between kindergarten and school. Thus, the study
discusses whether closer collaboration and more system-oriented work can support
kindergartens and schools work of realizing early intervention towards children with
language difficulties.
