Langsame møter med verda i henda

Abstract

I dette masterprosjektet undersøker eg korleis ein kan skape ein inngang til berekrafts-tenking ved å engasjert meg i materialet ull gjennom å gjere møter med materialet si reise frå gard til genser: Eg har vore med på saueklipping, fått omvising på eit spinneri, lært meg å spinne garn på rokk, og designa ein genser. Denne genseren strikka eg med garn av den ulla som vi samla inn på saueklippinga og som vart spunne på spinneriet eg besøkte. Eg har og lese teori som har gitt meg eit kunnskapsgrunnlag for å forstå og for å analysere møta mine.

Ved hjelp av ein difraktiv analyse, der eg har gjort agentiske kutt, har eg funne nokre materialitetar i møta som skaper ein forandring, og definert dei som performative agentar. Ved å lese med teori synleggjer eg korleis møta med ull skaper ein tilknyting og forståing for materialets verdi. I dette finn eg didaktiske potensial for å legge til rette for djupne//læring der elevane med heile kroppen får langsame og estetiske erfaringar som kan skape ein håpefull inngang til berekraftstenking.

Abstract In this master thesis, I try to understand how I can create an entrance to sustainability thinking by engaging in the material wool through meetings with the journey the material have from farm to sweater: I have participated in sheep shearing, been given a tour of a spinning mill, learnt how to spin yarn on a spinning wheel, and design a sweater. I knitted this sweater with yarn from the wool that we collected in the sheep shearing and which was spun at the spinning mill I visited. I also read theory that has given me a knowledge base to understand and to analyze my encounters with wool.

Using a difractive analysis, where I have made agent cuts, I have found some materialities in the meeting that create a change, and I have defined them as performative agents. By reading with theory, I see how the encounter with wool creates a connection and understanding of the value of the material. In this I find didactic potential for facilitating deep//learning where students with the whole body get slow and aesthetic experiences that can create a hopeful entrance to sustainability thinking.
