Abstract
Previous research on communication in companies has mainly focused on internal and external communication separately. This thesis investigates whether there is a connection between internal and external communication in companies, with a focus on environmental communication. As part of the assignment, a number of Norwegian companies were interviewed about their perception of, and relationship with, their own internal and external environmental communication. The findings indicate that although the companies agree that there is an anchorage between internal and external environmental communication, not everyone is equally aware of the choices made in connection with this communication. The purpose of the Master's thesis is to motivate change in corporate behavior so that they are more active around their own communication, and to encourage understanding of current communication and future possible communication.
