This Bachelor thesis considers various mechanized, but with the possibility of automated ways to filloil in dampening system for industrial turning and milling operations. The dampening system has agap where the oil lays and give the oscillating mass a damping. The process from filling oil to sealingthe holes shall be a “no-lift” installation, which means that there shall be no need for an operator tophysically lift the dampening system between the stations.
This report takes you into the depth of the oil filling process which as of today, done manually. Andhow it can be improved into a more mechanized process. It goes through several design criteria:such as specifications, properties, idea development, concept development, evaluation. And then atlast choose a concept based on which of them comes best out in the evaluation process. Possiblechange and further development potential of the system are proposed.
