Abstract
For kontroll bruker modellene en hastighetregulator for ˚a styreturtall, og to strømregulatorer for ˚a styre statorstrømmer i maskinen. Modellen benytter maksimum dreiemoment per ampere kalkulasjon for ˚a beregne referansestrømmene. For the operation of electric vehicles, the permanent magnet synchronous machinehas become a popular choice of motor. The purpose of this thesis is to develop adigital model of a permanent magnet synchronous machine and the drive systemthat controls the machine. The model is then used to simulate the machine speed, torque and currents. The digital model of the drive system is developed in the programming languagePython. A model has also been developed in Matlab/Simulink for verification andinvestigation. The permanent magnet synchronous machine is modeled based on themathematical model presented in this thesis. The drivesystem uses field-orientedcontrol with dq-rotating reference frame. For control, the models use a speed controller to control speed, and two current controllers for control of stator currents inthe machine. The model utilises maximum torque per ampere calculation to findthe reference currents. The digital models have been developed with a number of simplifications. There ispotential for further development, and the report facilitates future work.
