Abstract
Studenter i høyere utdanning er ofte organisert i studiegrupper. Hensikten er å utvikle både studentenes akademiske og relasjonelle kompetanse, herunder konflikthåndteringskompetanse. I denne studien ønsket vi å belyse hyppigheten av konflikter i grupper hvor problembasert læring er læringsformen. Vi ønsket også å belyse hvilke konsekvenser konflikter hadde for studentenes trivsel, produktivitet og faglige læringsutbytte. Et spørreskjema ble utviklet for denne studien og data ble samlet inn i 2009. 359 studenter ved bachelor i sykepleie og yrkesfaglærer var respondenter. Halvparten av studentene hadde opplevd konflikt i en studiegruppe. De fleste vurderte konfliktens konsekvenser som små eller nøytrale, mens for åtte prosent av respondentene hadde konflikten alvorlige konsekvenser. Tretten prosent vurderte konflikterfaringen som positiv. Veileders bidrag i konflikthåndteringen ble vurdert som lite betydningsfull.
