Sammendrag
The necessity of mutual authentication is growing due the need to perform sensitive operations over the Internet. It is a perpetual problem to find a secure place to store the keys. In this Master Thesis we present an originally designed authentication system, using powerful Smart Card crypto modules which makes possible to do all cryptographic operations in the card and to securely store the used keys. The designed system for the encryption part uses 3DES algorithm, and for the digital signature parts uses a standardized elliptical curve public key algorithm. Furthermore, we have developed original friendly user interface for using our developed RFID authentication system. To test the effectiveness and efficiency of the method we have applied it to a concrete scene which is a two-way authentication over SIP in a Video Conference Infrastructure. The test results so obtained were near-optimal with respect to time and memory. The system can easily be adapted to other realistic and industrial applications where two-way RFID authentication is needed. Keywords: ECDSA,TDES,RFID,SIP,JavaCard,SmartCard
