dc.description.abstract | The signature of a coherent system is an important tool for investigating the performance of the system. In this paper, the concept and aging properties of signatures are studied. The computations of system signatures are conducted by providing several cases from simple systems to complex systems. Evaluation of lifetime performance is derived by comparing signatures of systems. A method for computing the signature of the coherent system with single cold standby component is presented. Numerical examples are presented and machine computations (R and Matlab) are used to execute complex computations. | en |
