dc.description.abstract | This study has investigated the temperature coefficients of a selection of different resistors. A large enough number was measured to give it statistical significance. A Python 3 program was developed to acquire measurements from a data acquisition system, and a circuit board was designed to mount the devices under test onto for measurements. The results are plotted and tabulated and show a clear covariation between resistance and temperature. Also presented is an explanation of why one might want to use the 4 wire method and offset compensation in resistance measurements. | en |
