Mobbings framstilling i ungdomslitteratur

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven tar et dypdykk inn i ungdomslitteraturen, og hvordan den framstiller mobbing. Dette med utgangspunkt i problemstillingen «hvordan fremstilles temaet mobbing i ungdomslitteraturen, og hvordan kan man bruke litteratur som dette i undervisning?». I forkant av tekstskrivingen har jeg lest en rekke ungdomsbøker samt snakket med en bibliotekar for å finne to bøker som representerer ungdomsromaner om mobbing godt. Valget falt på Lars er LOL av Iben Akerlie (2016) og Kampen mot superbitchene av A. Audhild Solberg (2014), dette fordi de hadde store likhetstrekk til andre bøker i sjangeren, samt at de var svært populære bøker blant barn og ungdom. Teksten ser på disse bøkene i sammenheng med teori om ungdomslitteratur, hva ungdom ønsker seg av litteratur og litteratur om mobbing. Bøkene passer godt inn i sjangeren sin og svarer godt til hva ungdom ønsker av en bok. Når det kommer til tematikken viser bøkene to ulike former for mobbing, indirekte og direkte mobbing, samt at de viser mobbingen fra to forskjellige synspunkt; mobberen og mobbeofferet. Videre tar teksten opp hvordan litteratur kan brukes i undervisningssammenheng, først ved å se på bøkenes egenverdi for så å se på hvordan man kan jobbe videre med dem gjennom litterære samtaler.

This bachelor thesis takes a deep dive into juvenile literature and how it presents bullying. Based on the research question “How is bullying presented in juvenile literature and how can literature like this be used in teaching?”. Prior to writing this thesis I read a lot of books and talked to a librarian to find two books that represents the diversity of novels for juveniles well. In the end I chose Lol Lars (original: Lars er Lol) written by Iben Akerlie (2016) and Me vs. The Monster Girls (original: Kampen mot superbitchene) by A. Audhild Solberg. I chose these books because they had great similarities to other books in the genre and because the books where popular among children and juveniles. This thesis looks at these books alongside theory about juvenile literature, what juveniles look for when they want to read and theory about bullying. The books fit well into the genre and answers well to what juveniles want to read. When it comes to the theme the books show two different types of bullying, direct and indirect bullying. They also show the bullying from two different points of views, one from the bullies point of view, and one from the victims. After this the thesis describes how literature can be used in teaching, first by looking at the books value on their own and them how one can go deeper with literary conversations.
