Mobile learning provides many positive effects on learning with handheld devices and applications. Especially educational mobile technologies have been an interesting subject in the learning business, and its purpose is to provide low-cost interactive computers to every student to improve learning. These efforts of mobile technology could help situated learning to be more flexible in the city. Now we have an explosion of mobile devices, and in the future they will create the opportunities for widening access to learning. Important research question was how these technologies could help situated learning with the collaboration and interaction among different learners. In addition to mobile devices, the ambient technologies have been more popular lately in this context. Wireless network in the city has been an intense discussion topic for many cities, such like Trondheim in Norway. From scenarios we will see the benefits and disadvantages by using mobile technologies and applications in situated learning in the city. This thesis will give some new proposal for modification of technologies and applications to support two important environments within situated learning. Situated and mobile learning have grown fast in recent years, and how effective use of mobile technology in the future will be depending on the quality and relevance of the improved technologies in various communities.
