| dc.description.abstract | Samhandling handler om mennesker som i likeverdige relasjoner og felles deltakelse arbeider sammen mot et delt mål. Å arbeide som pleieansatt på sykehjem medfører at man må arbeide tett sammen med andre pleiere for å komme i mål med dagens oppgaver. På den måten kan sykehjem være et spennende utgangspunkt for å studere samhandling. Problemstillingen som studien søker å besvare vil derfor være: «Hvordan opplever pleieansatte på sykehjem samhandling med kolleger i hverdagen?».
For å besvare problemstillingen har jeg gjennomført kvalitative intervjuer med bakgrunn i en fenomenologisk-hermeneutisk metodologi. Utvalget favner fem personer som arbeider innenfor pleie på sykehjem, og blant disse fem er både assistenter, helsefagarbeidere og sykepleiere representert. Gjennom analysen presenterer jeg studiens funn i form av tre temaer. De tre omhandler de essensielle meningene smidighet, trygghet og samhørighet. Innenfor disse temaene fremkommer opplevelser som handler om å få hjelp og avlastning i arbeidsoppgaver, ros og kritikk fra kolleger og utfordringer knyttet til det å arbeide sammen på tvers av ulike yrkestitler og ulik arbeidserfaring. Funnene blir deretter drøftet i lys av sentrale rådgivningsteorier som Ragnvald Kvalsunds personteori og Martin Bubers I-Thouforhold. Sentrale argumenter i drøftingen vil være at de gode opplevelsene som blir beskrevet av deltakerne også er de opplevelsene som bærer i seg de teoretiske begrepene verdighet, dialog og gjensidighet. Gjennom teoretiske perspektiver kan de pleieansattes opplevelser av samhandling løftes opp til et overordnet nivå som kan være med å utvide forståelsen for opplevelsene. Samtidig kan funnene være med å berike rådgivningsvitenskapen gjennom å se hvordan de teoretiske begrepene kan manifestere seg i praksis.
Abstract
Collaboration refers to a process in which persons in equality and mutual participation work toward a shared goal. To work as care givers in nursing homes implies that the care givers have to work closely with one another in order to achieve the goals of the day. In this way nursing homes can be an exciting area for studying collaboration in everyday life. The research question I aim to examine in this study will be: «How do care givers in nursing homes experience collaboration with their colleagues in everyday life?»
I approach this research question by carrying out qualitative interviews with a phenomenological-hermeneutical methodology. The sample consists of five care givers who work in nursing homes, and among these five, assistants, health workers and nurses are represented. In the analysis, I will present three themes that represent the findings of the study. These three revolve around the essential meanings of agility, safety and togetherness. Within these themes, I present the participants` central experiences from everyday life in reference to collaboration. These revolve around mutual help with job tasks, receiving positive and negative feedback from colleagues, and challenges with working together with care givers of different titles and more work experience. The findings will then be discussed with a departure from central counselling theories, such as the theory of person by Ragnvald Kvalsund and I-Thou relationships by Martin Buber. Central arguments in the discussion will be that the positive experiences that the care givers describe are also the experiences that can be described as containing the concepts of worthiness, dialogue and interdependence. By applying theoretical perspectives, the care givers` experiences can be understood at a higher level that can contribute to expand the understandings of the experiences presented. At the same time the findings can be a contribution to the field of counselling by seeing how the theoretical concepts manifest themselves in practice. | nb_NO |
