This Master thesis is about the Palmer-Bowlus flume measuring open channel flow rates of waste water at Risvollan. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Science and Technology (NTNU) wants to confirm if the initial stage-discharge relation for the flume is valid, in order to use the data with confidence in future studies. The objective for the thesis is mainly to assure quality of the measurement system which is in use. Accuracy of tracer dilution measurements in waste water is of interest. Procedures and accuracy for the method should be reviewed in order to find the potential of using this further. Documentation for best practice of the method should be made.
