dc.description.abstract | This project takes inspiration from the medical area and focuses on how the Internet of Things can provide improvements. The idea is to build a system that leaves the patients move freely in the hospital and in the meanwhile to be able to properly man- age data collected by their wearable sensors. Therefore the main goal of the work is to manage the han- dover between two different WPANs. This is a key activity in these kind of systems, because it takes time to be performed and it is resources demanding. The handover operation will be fully analysed and evaluated in all its characteristics in order to find a suitable solution for the project purposes. | |
