The reaction of the ultimate loads predicted by the FEM analyses to the real values obtained in the laboratory ranges from 0,964 to 0,998 which can be considered as a very accurate. It means that the results from analyses underestimate capacity of the cross-section from 0,2% to 3,56% with 1,49% as a middle value for all six specimens. For reinforced by stiffeners samples it turned out that although HAZ effect decrease dramatically properties of the material, zone of the HAZ is not large and welding additional stiffeners can actually be very good solution for reinforcement of the beam. HAZ effect have different influence on the capacity of the beam and it can decreased it from 3,5% to even 42,3%. But still when it will be taken into account that the ultimate forced can be more than twice larger these numbers are not big. The best type of reinforcement is when longitudinal stiffener with vertical at the cope corner is used.nb_NO
