dc.description.abstractWe analyze some previous work on the field regarding binary power allocation for a distributed power allocation algorithm for multicell capacity gain. We implement a Monte Carlo simulation tool to calculate numerically the network capacities achieved with the various power allocation algorithms. To simulate the performance in large cellular networks, we implement and examine the results of a cell wrap-around technique to emulate infinte network models. The results suggest improvements of the distributed power allocation algorithm can be done.nb_NO
