dc.description.abstract | The task of automated plagiarism detection is about finding out pieces of a text which have been derived from another text. This task could require to scan a large number of documents, until the one from which the text it stolen is found. However, this project is confined only to the problem of finding stolen text in a given document when the original document from which it is taken is already given to the detector which should thus only consider a comparison of these two documents. The more refined concern of this project was to enhance the performance of a given plagiarism detector by combining its approach with another complementary approach. Moreover we tried to improve this system by addressing some of its deficiencies, the most important of these being the detection of whole paragraphs | |
