Abstract

Denne masteroppgaven tar for seg en skapende prosess med symaskinen som verktøy. Den har som formål å finne ut hvordan man kan skape dybde, og hvilke didaktiske aspekter mine erfaringer fra denne prosessen gir. I den forbindelsen drøftes følgende problemstilling: Hvordan kan man, med symaskinen som verktøy, skape dybde i et tekstilt veggbilde ved hjelp av lappeteknikk og applikasjon?

Forskningens vitenskapsteoretiske ståsted er en sammenslåing av hermeneutikk og fenomenologi, en hermeneutisk fenomenologi. Metodologien som benyttes er estetikk-basert og bygger på en skapende, undrende prosess. Datamaterialet konstrueres gjennom eget skapende arbeid og multimodal logg. I det skapende arbeidet produseres det et tekstilt veggbilde og sydde lapper med ulike dybdeskapende virkemiddel. Datamaterialet analyseres ved hjelp av koding og kategorisering. Erfaringene fra den skapende prosessen blir kodet og samlet til kategorier, og analysert deretter. Datamaterialet blir analysert etter fastsatte kategorier fra teorien og fremlegges ved bruk av matriser. Drøftingen gjøres med utgangspunkt i funnene fra analysen.

This master´s thesis studies the sewing machine as a tool with a creative process. Its purpose is to find out how to create depth, and witch didactic aspects the experiences from this process provide. The following issues is discussed: How can one, with the sewing machine as a tool, create depth in a textile wall picture using patchwork and application?

The scientific theoretical standpoint of the research is hermeneutic phenomenology. The methodology used is aesthetics - based and is based on a creative, exploring process. The data material is constructed through own creative work and is shown and supported by a multimodal log. The data material in the research is sewn test patches with various depth techniques and a textile wall picture. Lastly the data material is analyzed using coding and categorization. The experiences from the creative process are coded and gathered into categories and analyzed accordingly. The sewn test is analyzed according to fixed categories from theory and presented using matrices. The discussion is based on the findings form the analysis.
