Intertekstualitet og metafiksjon i Superpularen av Atle Berge

Abstract

Bacheloroppgaven undersøker intertekstuelle og metafiksjonelle elementer i Atle Berges Superpularen (2015). Ved å anvende seg av Julia Kristevas teori om intertekstualitet, samt Patricia Waughs teori om metafiksjon, ønsker oppgaven å utforske hvordan romanen bidrar til å kritisere bokbransjen og samfunnet. Resultatet av analysen er at Superpularen oppfordrer til en dypere refleksjon rundt litteraturens rolle i samfunnet. Romanen bidrar ikke bare til å utfordre hvordan man som lesere konsumerer og verdsetter litteratur, men også våre antagelser om hva litteratur kan og bør være.

The thesis examines the intertextual and metafictional elements in Atle Berge's Superpularen (2015). By applying Julia Kristeva's theory of intertextuality and Patricia Waugh's theory of metafiction, the thesis aims to explore how the novel critiques the book industry and society. The result of the analysis is that Superpularen encourages deeper reflection on the role of literature in society. Not only does the novel challenge how readers consume and value literature, it also challenges our assumptions about what literature can and should be.
