Abstract

Arnhild Lauvengs bok I morgen var jeg alltid en løve (2014) er en autobiografi som skildrer en fortelling om å være en psykisk syk pasient med lav funksjon, til å bli friskmeldt, utdanne seg til psykolog og bli forfatter. Utgivelsen er en av de sjeldne av sitt slag, nettopp fordi forfatteren har blitt erklært friskmeldt fra schizofreni. Dermed har hun en unik rolle som kan bidra til dyp, kompleks innsikt fra både pasient- og behandlerperspektivet gjennom sin historie. Denne oppgaven vil undersøke hvordan pasientrollen fremstilles, samt diskutere hvordan dette kan være med på å gi behandlere innen psykisk helse en bedre forståelse av pasienter med schizofren lidelse.

Arnhild Lauveng’s book I morgen var jeg alltid en løve (2014) is an autobiography that portrays a story about a mentally ill patient with poor functioning, then forward to the process of recovery, educating as a psychologist, and becoming a writer. The publication is rare of its kind because the patient recovers from schizophrenia. In that matter, she has a unique role that can contribute to deep, complex insight from both the patient- and therapist perspectives throughout the story about her experiences. This thesis will examine how the patient role is portrayed in the literature and discuss how this can provide healthcare professionals with a better understanding of patients with schizophrenia disorder.
