Fra latin til slang - en diakron analyse av ordet sjåfør

Abstract

I denne oppgaven følger jeg opphavet av ordet sjåfør fra latin til moderne norsk. Det gjennomføres analyse av utviklingen av lingvistikken og fonologien til ordet, presentering av lånord samt deres opphav og betydning, til slutt presenterer jeg en personlig assosiasjon til ordet oppgaven bygger på.

This thesis follows the origin of the word chauffeur from Latin to modern Norwegian. An analysis of the development of the linguistics and phonology of the word is carried out, as well as presentation and explanations of loanwords and their origin and meaning, finally I am going to present a personal association with the word the thesis is based on.
