This thesis explores how TV 2 utilizes TikTok to distribute news about the Gaza-conflict. By conducting a qualitative text analysis of three selected videos, the thesis examines how the news channel uses aesthetic, visual, and narrative devices to engage a younger audience. It also discusses how the platform may influence TV 2's news content. By integrating a media aesthetic approach and relevant theory from media studies, this thesis seeks to contribute to an understanding of the dynamics of news dissemination in an increasingly digital media landscape.
The aim of this thesis is to highlight the importance of understanding how social media platforms like TikTok can be used as mediums for news dissemination, and how news channels can engage a young audience in a complex conflict.
