Abstract
Due to Norway’s high employment rate and increasing retirement age, today’s workers are anticipated to remain in the workforce for longer compared to previous generations. Consequently, it becomes crucial to shed light on the factors that make work enjoyable and engaging, as this significantly impacts individuals’ overall well-being and quality of life.
This thesis examines burnout in the IT industry and investigates the use of an interactive website on burnout awareness raising in IT. This is done by interviewing professionals in the field to determine what kind of knowledge on burnout they have and what steps are being taken in their respective organizations. The results of this interview focus the development of a burnout awareness raising website, that meets a need in the industry. The website has been evaluated and tested with participants in the IT industry to gauge its effectiveness.
