Klesdesign for fremtiden: Utvikling av en bærekraftig kleskolleksjon

Abstract

Denne masteroppgaven tar for seg et kunstbasert forskningsprosjekt som undersøker utviklingen av en bærekraftig kleskolleksjon med inspirasjon fra personlige opplevelser med å vandre i fjellet, gjennom en fenomenologisk-hermeneutisk posisjonering. Problemstillingen for oppgaven lyder slik:

Hvordan kan jeg designe og produsere en bærekraftig kleskolleksjon inspirert av min fortelling om fjellet, og hvilke didaktiske potensiale kan erfaringene fra min undersøkelse ha i faget kunst og håndverk i grunnskolen?

Den empiriske undersøkelsen for denne mastergraden baserer seg på skapende arbeid jeg gjør gjennom designprosessen og konstruksjonen av en kleskolleksjon. Analysen undersøker hvordan kriteriene jeg satt for bærekraft og design kom frem i de endelige resultatene. Prosjektet resulterte i en kolleksjon av fire antrekk. Den didaktiske delen av oppgaven belyser hvordan lærere kan legge til rette for varig læring gjennom skapende og utforskende arbeidsmetoder i forbindelse med utviklingen av en designkompetanse og forståelse for bærekraftig utvikling.

This master's thesis focuses on an art-based research project that explores the creation of a sustainable clothing collection with inspiration from personal experiences of hiking in the mountains. The project adopts a phenomenological-hermeneutic approach to understanding these experiences. The research problem statement for this thesis reads as follows:

How can I design and produce a sustainable clothing collection inspired by my story about the mountain, and what didactic potential can the experiences from my research have in the subject of arts and crafts in primary and secondary school?

The empirical investigation for this master's degree is based on creative work I do through the design process and the construction of a clothing collection. The analysis examines how the criteria I set for sustainability and design emerged in the final results. The project resulted in a collection of four outfits. The didactic part of the thesis illuminates how teachers can facilitate lasting learning through creative and exploratory working methods in connection with the development of design competence and an understanding of sustainable development.
