Kalkulasjon av BIM-modell med NS-3420

Abstract

Denne oppgaven er utarbeidet i samarbeid med Grande Entreprenør AS. I oppgaven er det blitt sett nærmere på hvordan samspillet mellom BIM-modeller, og NS 3420 bør fungere i en anbudsprosess. Oppgaven har forsøkt å svare på følgende problemstilling: • Hvordan kan Grande Entreprenør med fordel benytte BIM-modeller i en anbudsprosess basert på NS 3420? Design Science Research ble brukt som arbeidsmetode for prosjektet. For å kunne svare på problemstillingen, ble det utviklet 2 artefakter som på hver sin måte skulle gi en løsning. Artefaktene består av arbeidsflyter for hvordan Grande Entreprenør kan ta i bruk NS 3420 i BIM-modeller. Det ble utviklet et artefakt hvor firmaet selv koder opp BIM-modellen i henhold til NS 3420, og et artefakt hvor arkitekt koder BIM-modellen i henhold til NS 3420. For å finne ut om artefaktene fungerte som de skulle ble de evaluert av markedsavdelingen hos Grande Entreprenør. Dette er en liten gruppe bestående av 3 personer, men med lang fartstid i byggebransjen, og arbeider med kalkulasjon til daglig. Evalueringen viste at arbeidsflyten hvor entreprenør koder selv ikke holder mål. Denne måten å jobbe på ble evaluert til å være mer tungvint sammenlignet med hva som gjøres i dag. Videre kreves det stor nøyaktighet i BIM-modellen, noe som kan føre til forsinkelser i prosjektet, eller avvik i kalkulasjonen hvis modellen er inneholder feil. Artefaktet med arbeidsflyten hvor arkitekt kodet modellen viste seg i evalueringen å være en bedre løsning. Denne arbeidsflyten ble evaluert til å være både mer effektiv, treffsikker, og gir muligheten til å raskt kjøre flere iterasjoner av samme modell. Konklusjonen er at Grande Entreprenør med fordel kan benytte BIM-modeller i en anbudsprosess basert på NS 3420 så lenge artefaktet for koding hos arkitekt benyttes.

This thesis has been prepared in collaboration with Grande Entreprenør AS. In the thesis, a closer look has been taken at how the interaction between BIM models and NS 3420 should work in a tender process. The assignment attempted to answer the following problem: • How can Grande Entreprenør advantageously use BIM models in a tender process based on NS 3420? Design Science Research was used as the working method for the project. In order to be able to answer the problem, 2 artefacts were developed which in their own way should provide a solution. The artefacts consist of workflows for how Grande Entreprenør can use NS 3420 in BIM models. An artefact was developed where the company itself codes the BIM model according to NS 3420, and an artefact where the architect codes the BIM model according to NS 3420. To find out if the artefacts worked as they should, they were evaluated by the markedsavdelingen at Grande Entreprenør. This is a small group consisting of 3 people, but with long experience in the construction industry, and works with calculations on a daily basis. The evaluation showed that the workflow where Grande codes themselves does not measure up. This way of working was evaluated to be more cumbersome compared to what is done today. Furthermore, great accuracy is required in the BIM model, which can lead to delays in the project, or deviations in the calculation if the model contains errors. The artifact with the workflow where the architect coded the model proved in the evaluation to be a better solution. This workflow was evaluated to be both more efficient, accurate, and gives the opportunity to quickly run several iterations of the same model. The conclusion is that Grande Entreprenør can advantageously use BIM models in a tender process based on NS 3420 as long as the artifact for coding with the architect is used.
