Abstract

Tittel: Sykepleie til pasienter med hjerneslag i rehabiliteringsfasen.

Bakgrunn: Hjerneslag er en av de vanligste folkesykdommene og rammer ca. 12 000 mennesker i Norge hvert år. Om lag en tredjedel av disse 12 000 slagrammede menneskene vil ha varig funksjonshemming som krever rehabilitering. Vi ønsker å se nærmere på sykepleiers rolle og funksjoner i rehabiliteringsfasen.

Problemstilling: Hvordan gi sykepleie til pasienter med hjerneslag i rehabiliteringsfasen?

Metode: For å svare på problemstillingen er en systematisk litteraturstudie brukt. Søkene ble utført i ulike vitenskapelige databaser, som ga oss til sammen tolv vitenskapelige artikler. Syv av disse ble valgt for å belyse og svare på problemstillingen.

Funn: Studien viser hva som ligger til grunn for god sykepleie og hvordan sykepleier kan innhente kunnskap og kompetanse til å gi god sykepleie til pasienter med hjerneslag i rehabiliteringsfasen.

Konklusjon: Funnene i studien viser at sykepleier må fokusere på relasjonsbygging, pasientens egenomsorg, tilrettelegging og veiledning i sykepleien til pasienter med hjerneslag. Sykepleier må fokusere på egen kompetanse, kommunikasjonsevner og helhetlig tilnærming for å kunne gi god sykepleie til pasienter med hjerneslag i rehabiliteringsfasen.

Title: Nursing care to stroke patients in the rehabilitation phase.

Background: Stroke is one of the most common illnesses and effects approximately 12,000 people in Norway every year. About a third of these will suffer from long-term function loss and need rehabilitation. We wish to gain insight into the nurses´ role and functions in the rehabilitation phase.

Research question: How to provide nursing care to stroke patients in the rehabilitation phase?

Method: To answer the research question, a systematic literature study has been applied. The search was carried out in scientific databases, which gave us 12 articles. 7 of these were systematically selected to answer the research question.

Findings: The study shows what the base of good nursing is and how nurses can acquire knowledge and competence to be able to provide good nursing care to stroke patients in the rehabilitation phase.

Conclusion: The finding in the study shows that nurses must focus on building relations, the patients´ self-care and guidance in nursing care. Nurses must focus on competence, communication, and a holistic approach in order to provide good nursing care to stroke patients in rehabilitation.
