Den litterære vampyren: Fra skrekk til romantikk

Abstract

I denne bacheloroppgaven undersøker jeg hvordan vampyrskikkelsen har blitt fremstilt i litteraturen, med fokus på Bram Stokers Dracula fra 1897 og Stephenie Meyers Twilight fra 2005. Gjennom personanalyse med narrativ metode har jeg undersøkt hvordan grev Dracula fremstilles som en skremmende og fryktelig vampyrskikkelse i kontrast til hvordan Edward Cullen fremstilles som en attraktiv og heroisk skikkelse.

In this bachelor thesis I have researched how the vampire figure has been portrayed throughout literarture, with my focus being on Bram Stokers Dracula from 1897 and Stephenie Meyers Twilight from 2005. Through character analysis with a narrative method I've researched how Count Dracula is portrayed as frightening and awful, in contrast to how Edward Cullen has been portrayed as an attractive and heroic character.
