Manuell oppfølging av sau på beite

Abstract

Det lovpålagte oppsynet av sau på utmarksbeite har frem til i dag foregått ved notering med penn og papir, som er utfordrende i vær og vind, og som gjør overføringen fra notater til digital årsrapport tidkrevende. Denne oppgaven har som mål å effektivisere arbeidsoppgavene ved digitalisering, og å utforske om bruk av talegjenkjenning er hensiktsmessig for å registrere observasjoner uten å ta blikket ut av kikkerten. Et system av en mobilapplikasjon og webapplikasjon som delvis automatiserer oppgavene ble utviklet. Brukertesting av systemet viser at digitale verktøy kan effektivisere og potensielt øke kvaliteten på både oppsyn og etterarbeid, og at bruk av talegjenkjenning på oppsynstur er hensiktsmessig og har stort potensiale.

The statutory follow-up of sheep on pasture is done by writing with pen and paper, which is demanding in various weather conditions, and results in a time-consuming transition from physical notes to a digital yearly report. The goal of this thesis is to increase the efficiency of these tasks through digitalization, and to explore whether using speech recognition to register observations while looking through binoculars is fitting. A system of a mobile application and a web application that partially automates the tasks was developed. Usability testing of the system shows that digital tools can improve the efficiency, and potentially the quality, of both follow-up and finalizing work, and that the use of speech recognition is fitting and has large potential.
