dc.description.abstractThis thesis has studied how Gandhi´s independence fights from 1890 to his death, impacted India´s way to independence. During this time, India was under British rule by the empire. Other countries, which were controlled by the British Raj, was Pakistan, Bangladesh and parts of Myanmar. Gandhi’s Independence fight for India’s rights, already started in South Africa were he was located for a longer time. He moved back to India in 1915 and upon his arrival a huge crowd of people met him and they continued his fight for independence. Gandhi went against the British Raj using non-violence. His fighting spirit against the Raj spread across the country and he got great support by his fellow Indians.
