Abstract

Bacheloroppgaven undersøker hvilken positiv virkning bildene i boken «Heimat. Ein deutsches Familienalbum» av forfatteren Nora Krug har på boken og på læreprosessen, som er tesen undersøkelsen bygges på. Undersøkelsen baseres på min fasinasjon av den kunstneriske måten forfatteren tar i bruk en blanding av tekst og bilder i formidlingen av den seriøse handlingen, hvor forfatteren undersøker familiens deltakelse i andre verdenskrig. Fra begynnelsen vil jeg ta for meg bokens innhold for å få en forståelse av teksten i boken, og deretter bokens sjanger «Graphic Novel» for en bredere forståelse av bildene i boken Som utgangspunkt for undersøkelsen vil jeg benytte teorien «Dual Coding Theory» som vektlegger bildenes funksjon i læreprosessen, før jeg undersøker boken opp mot teorien, for å finne ut om testen min stemmer eller ikke.

The bachelor thesis examines which positive effects the pictures in the book “Heimat. Ein deutsches Familienalbum” by the author Nora Krug has on the book itself and on the learning process, which is the thesis on which the survey is based. The study is based on my fascination with the artistic way the author uses a mixture of text and images in the communication of the serious action, where the author examines the family's participation in World War II. From the beginning, I will summaries the book's content to gain an understanding of the text in the book, and then the book's genre "Graphic Novel" for a broader understanding of the images in the book. As a starting point for the research, I will use the theory "Dual Coding Theory" which emphasizes the function of the images in the learning process, before I examine the book against the theory, to find out if my thesis is correct or not.
