Kols og fysisk aktivitet

Abstract

Problemstilling: Kan fysisk aktivitet bidra til en positiv innvirkning på helsen til pasienter med kols; sett fra et pasientperspektiv.

Metode: Denne oppgaven er en litteraturstudie hvor det er tatt i bruk 8 forskningsartikler og for å finne svar på problemstillingen.

Resultat: Resultatene fra de vitenskapelige artiklene kom alle frem til flere positive helsefordeler ved å implementere fysisk aktivitet i behandlingen av kols pasienter. Hovedfunnene indikerer på bedret treningskapasitet, helsetilstand og livskvalitet, og vil i tillegg reduserer forverrelser, sykehusinnleggelser og dødelighet.

Konklusjon: Fysisk aktivitet vil gi helsefordeler til kols pasienter. Funnene viser til at individuelt tilpassede programmer og identifikasjon av barrierer vil bedre fysisk og psykisk helse hos kols pasienter, og dette vil redusere sykehusinnleggelser, forverringer og dødeligheten.

Objective: Can physical activity contribute to a positive impact on the health of patients with COPD; seen from a patient perspective.

Method: This thesis is a literature study where 8 research articles have been used and to find answers to the problem.

Results: The results from the scientific articles all came to several positive health benefits by implementing physical activity in the treatment of COPD patients. The main findings indicate improved exercise capacity, health status and quality of life, and will also reduce exacerbations, hospitalizations and mortality.

Conclusion: Physical activity will provide health benefits to COPD patients. The findings indicate that individually tailored programs and the identification of barriers will improve the physical and mental health of COPD patients, and this will reduce hospitalizations, exacerbations and mortality.
