Minimalistic design of a application MVP - Gleu

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgaven handler om de spesifikke designvalgene og utviklingen av en MVP for oppstartsbedriften Gleu. Hvilke designvalg som ble tatt, og diskusjonen om hvordan man kan designe en mobilapplikasjon med en minimalistisk tilnærming.

Gleu ønsket å lage en mobilapplikasjon som sentraliserer arbeidsflyten til moteindustrien. Hvor klesmerker og forhandlere gjennomfører møter hvor de kan inngå avtaler og vise sine produkter. Appen vil omhandle administrering av møter, kontakter og timeplaner for å gi en forbedret og mer organisert arbeidshverdag.

Gjennom teksten diskuterer vi de spesifikke designvalgene og hva det vil si å designe en app med et minimalistisk tankesett. Løsninger blir funnet gjennom empiri og teamets forståelse av design og generelle effekter på brukeropplevelsen.

This bachelor thesis is about the specific design choices and development of a MVP for the startup company Gleu. Which design choices were taking, and the discussion about how to design a mobile application with a minimalistic approach.

Gleu wanted to make a mobile application that centralizes the workflow within the fashion industry. Where brands and retailers can schedule different types of appointments to get in contact with each other or work out deals. This means managing their existing appointments, contacts and schedules for a better overview with an improved structure.

Through the thesis, we discuss the specific design choices and what it means to design with minimalism in mind. Evaluating solutions through empirical evidence and the team's understanding of design and its effects on the user experience.
