teamengasjement. Feil beslutning her kan muligens føre til kostbare investeringer uten a
mer forenklede metoder.
dc.description.abstract | This project investigates brief and simplistic ways on how to both address the value of current
digital maintenance activities, as well as generate a decision basis on how to proceed with the
same matter. This is done with a case-approach for Hydro Sunndal, where both data and maintenance strategies are available.
The on-going technological development allows for new opportunities, both for consumers and
industrialists. These opportunistic times can yield competitive advantage through utilizing tomorrows technology in an appropriate way. However, it also provides a sea of choices, mainly
on what and how the technology could come into play. The technology is often highly sophisticated, and could in many situations require investments, extensive staff training or consultancy
team involvement. Wrong decisions here could possibly lead to costly investments without a
return, which could harm both time and resources available.
With this in mind, it is of interest to investigate if this could be achieved through less costly and
more simplistic methods.
