Tilknytning mellom foreldre og det premature barnet: En studie om hvordan "Close Collaboration with Parents Training Program" påvirker foreldre-barn-tilknytningen til premature barn i nyfødtintensivavdelingen

Abstract

Bakgrunn Ved en prematur fødsel blir tilknytningsporsessen mellom foreldrene og barnet forstyrret. «Close Collaboration with Parents Training Program» (CC) er et opplæringsprogram for helsepersonell på nyfødtintensivavdelingen, som er utviklet med utgangspunkt i foreldre-barn-tilknytning og utviklingstilpasset omsorg.

Hensikt Oppgaven utforsker på hvilken måte innføringen av CC på nyfødtintensivavdelingen kan bidra til å øke tilknytningen mellom foreldre og det premature barnet.

Metode Oppgaven er en systematisk litteraturstudie som tar utgangspunkt i syv fagfellevurderte forskningsartikler, og resultatene fra disse sammenstilles og analyseres i lys av bakgrunnskunnskap og teori.

Resultater Funnene fra artiklene viser at innføringen av CC påvirker foreldre-barn-tilknytningen gjennom fysisk kontakt, foreldreinvolvering, foreldres tilstedeværelse, utviklingstilpasset omsorg, emosjonell støtte og privatliv. CC påvirker også relasjonen mellom sykepleierne og foreldrene, gjennom å endre sykepleiers holdninger og rolle, endrer måten sykepleiere og foreldre kommuniserer på, og bidrar til at sykepleiere ser det unike ved hver familie.

Konklusjon CC kan bidra til økt foreldre-barn-tilknytning ved å øke kvaliteten på tiden foreldrene bruker i avdelingen, styrke foreldrerollen og endre avdelingens omsorgskultur til en familiesentrert omsorgspraksis.

Background In the case of a premature birth, the bonding between the parents and the infant is disturbed. The «Close Collaboration with Parents Training Program» (CC) is a training program for health care professionals in the neonatal intensive care unit, which has been developed based on parent-infant-bonding and developmental care.

Aim The aim of the thesis was to explore in what way the implementation of CC in the neonatal intensive care unit can help increase the bonding between parents and the premature infant.

Method The thesis is a systematic literature study based on seven peer-reviewed research articles, and the results from these are compiled and analyzed in the light of background knowledge and theory.

Results The findings from the articles show that the implementation of CC affects the parent-infant-bonding through physical contact, parental involvement, parental presence, developmental care, emotional support, and privacy. CC also affect the relationship between the nurses and the parents, by changing nurses’ attitudes and roles, change the way nurses and parents communicate, and help nurses see the uniqueness of each family.

Conclusion CC can contribute to increase parent-infant-bonding by increase the quality of the time parents spend in the NICU, strengthen the parental role, and change the units care culture to a family-centered care practice.
