Design av kjøkken for Mikrohus ved bruk av ombruksmaterial

Abstract

Oppgaven ble initiert av NTNU Wood, i forbindelse med et mikrohus som var under bygging. Målet for mikrohusprosjektet var å kun benytte ombruks- eller overskuddsmateriale. Huset skulle senere benyttes i forskningssammenheng. Denne oppgaven omhandler kjøkkenet som skulle stå i det ferdige mikrohuset, og dokumenterer designprosessen ved bruk av ombruksmaterialer. Dette inkluderer en innsiktsfase av livsfasen til trevirke i dag, brukerinnsikt, prototyping og et fysisk sluttresultat. Ved siden av funksjonalitet og estetikk er det lagt særskilt vekt på sirkulære aspekter, og hvordan produkt og materialer kan bevares i sløyfen. Resultatet er et funksjonelt kjøkken tilpasset konteksten, som er demonterbart og tar høyde for fremtidig produktintegritet gjennom flere bruksfaser.

The project was initiated by NTNU Wood, in connection with a microhouse that was under construction. The goal for the microhouse project was to use only reusable or surplus material. The house was later to be used in a research context. This assignment deals with the kitchen that was placed in the finished microhouse, and documents the design process using reusable materials. This includes an insight phase which considers how wood travels though the economy today, user insight, prototyping and a physical end result. In addition to functionality and aesthetics, special emphasis is placed on circular aspects, and how products and materials can be preserved in the loop. The result is a functional kitchen adapted to the context, which is demountable and takes into account future product integrity through several phases of use.
