Emojiers pragmatiske funksjon

Abstract

I denne bacheloroppgaven har jeg samlet trådene av tidligere forskning gjort på feltet emojier, og deres pragmatiske funksjon. Videre er det lagt fram et forslag på en relevansteoretisk analyse, samt at det er gjort en kvantitativ undersøkelse vedrørende språkbrukeres oppfatning til hva fire utvalgte emojiers iboende betydning kan sies å være. Mine funn tyder på at det er stor spredning blant informantenes oppfatning av tre av de fire emojiene som oppgaven tar for seg.

In this bachelor's thesis I have looked at previous research done in the field of emojis, and their pragmatic function. Furthermore, a proposal has been presented for a relevance-theoretical analysis, as well as a quantitative survey has been carried out on the perception of language users to what the inherent meaning of four selected emojis can be said to be. My findings indicate that there is a wide dispersion among the informants' perception of three out of the four emoji that the thesis addresses.
