Hva er audisme og hvordan manifesterer det seg for døve mennesker i det offentlige?

Abstract

I denne Bacheloroppgaven har jeg valgt audisme i skolen som tema, og skal på bakgrunn av dette drøfte ulike lovverk fra 1800-tallet frem til i dag, audisme, og inkluderingsprinsippet. En viktig del av oppgaven har vært å se hvordan lovverket har utviklet seg, og hvordan de audistiske holdningene til samfunnet som helhet har endret seg. Det ses nærmere på de ulike typene audisme, hvordan de lett kan knyttes opp mot hverandre og hvordan de utøves. Inkluderingsprinsippet i dagens skole er også i sentrum både i teori og drøfting. Denne oppgaven er en litteraturgjennomgang og det er derfor ikke noen egen forskning tilgjengelig, kun drøfting basert på teorien som er funnet. Det er brukt faglige kilder om audisme og opplæringen av døve, samt offentlig dokumentasjon på lovverk gjennom lovdata. Før avslutningen presenteres avsluttende refleksjoner om egne tanker rundt tema, hvorfor ulike tema ble valgt foran andre og temaets relevans.

In this Bachelor thesis I have chosen the theme audism in a school setting, and based on that thesis I will discuss different legislations from the 19th century until today, audism and the principle of inclusion. An important part of the thesis has been to see how the different legislations have changed over the years, and how audistic attitudes in the society as a whole has changed with it. I will look at theory on the different types of audism, and how they can be linked to each other and how they are exercised. The principle of inclusion is in center in both theory and discussion. This thesis is a literature review and I have therefore not done any personal research, only discussed the theory found. I have used professional theory about audism, deaf education, and also legislations through official sites. Before the conclusion I have presented som finishing reflections about my own thoughts about the theme, why I chose certain themes and left others out and why the theme is relevant.
