Abstract
Towards the end of the grazing season, farmers struggle to locate all their sheep and lambs since they often wander far away from their initial locations. To counteract this, farmers do regular checkups to register if any animals are missing. The process is done manually by writing on paper with a pen. The motivation for this master’s thesis is to showcase how an inexpensive system for enhancing the manual sheep registration process can be developed. The proposed solution is a twofold system consisting of a smartphone application for manual registration and a desktop application for visualizing data and generating reports. The thesis is centered around the development process and the choices made along the way.
