Kompatibilitetsvurdering av NTNUs e-læringssystem og Blackboard Ultra

Abstract

I dette prosjektet har det blitt utført en kompatibilitetsvurdering mellom NTNUs e-læringssystem, Blackboard, og Blackboard Ultra Course View. Prosjektet utarbeidet denne rapporten som kartlegger kompatibilitet med gjeldende dataflyt, tredjeparts programvare, integrasjoner og kjernefunksjonalitet i Blackboard-miljøet til NTNU. Det har blitt lagt vekt på å identifisere funksjonalitet som ikke har blitt videreført og i tilfeller hvor det må gjøres konfigurasjonsendringer så har det blitt anbefalt løsninger. All funksjonalitet som blir påvirket av en eventuell overgang til Blackboard Ultra Course View har blitt nøye testet i et eget testmiljø som er identisk med produksjonsmiljøet til NTNU. Prosjektet konkluderer med at Blackboard-miljøet til NTNU er kompatibelt med Blackboard Ultra Course View, men med forbehold om at problemstillinger som har blitt avdekket i rapporten løses før en eventuell overgang.

In this project a compatibility assessment has been carried out between NTNU's learning management system, Blackboard, and Blackboard Ultra Course View. The project compiled this report which assesses the compatibility with the current data flow, third-party software, integrations, and core functionality in NTNUs Blackboard environment. Emphasis has been placed on identifying functionality that has been discontinued, and in cases where configuration changes must be made it recommends potential solutions. All functionality that is affected by a possible transition to Blackboard Ultra Course View has been carefully tested in a dedicated test environment which is identical to the production environment at NTNU. The project concludes that NTNU's Blackboard environment is compatible with Blackboard Ultra Course View, but with the prerequisite of solving the issues identified in the report before a possible transition.
