Sammendrag
Denne bacheloroppgaven er skrevet for Madshus AS.
This bachelor thesis is written for Madshus AS. This research paper is exploring the issue of how Madshus AS can break down organizational barriers and initiate a reflection process towards continuous improvement?
We have used relevant theory for single- and double-loop learning, action theory, and model O-I and model O-II. In this paper we have conducted unstructured qualitative in-depth interviews, and we have used action research as our research approach. This project has chosen to cite Xerox Holdings Corporation as a relevant example. In this example, action research was used as a research approach, and based on this work Xerox identified that they had simple routines in their systems, consisting of single-loop learning. The result of the research was that the organization acted as inefficient, and that a possible solution would be to switch to double-loop learning. This forms our basis for the discussion at the end of the thesis, where the theory and method will be linked to what the project has observed at Madshus AS.
The project concludes that the chosen method, theory, and research approach has started a reflection process towards continuous improvement at Madshus' warehouse, while there is still a lot of work to do tomeet the end goal. The project believes that Madshus has great potential when it comes to organizational learning. It is now up to Madshus if they want to continue this initiated reflection process
