Hvordan påvirker informasjonen formidlet til losen, losens arbeid og seilasens sikkerhet?

Abstract

Oppgavens problemstilling er; «Hvordan påvirker informasjonen formidlet til losen, losens arbeid og seilasens sikkerhet?».

Formålet med oppgaven er å undersøke informasjonsflyten mellom losbestiller, losformidling og los. I hvilken grad blir det gitt fullstendig informasjon til losen om det oppdraget som skal gjennomføres? Både med tanke på skipsdata, og hvilken type oppdrag som skal utføres. Jeg ønsker å komme frem til hva loser mener om dette, og hvilke konsekvenser mangelfull informasjon kan føre til. Datainnsamlingen i oppgaven er samlet inn gjennom kvalitative intervjuer med loser.

The thesis question is as follows: «How does the information received by the pilot effect the safety of the voyage and the work done by the pilot?».

The purpose of the thesis is to explore the information flow between those who order pilot, either a ship or an agent, and the people who are in charge of receiving the order of a pilot and is responsible of informing the pilot about the ship data and the operation to the pilot witch have been assigned to the pilot operation, and the pilot. It also wishes to explore to witch degree the information received by the pilot regarding the mission/operation is complete in regard of both ship data and which type of mission/operation that is to be carried out. I wish to explore what the pilots think of this, and what consequences may come about as a result of it. The data in this study is collected by qualitative interviews of pilots.
