dc.description.abstract | This thesis looks at the smoothing of wind power output by using empirical mode decomposition in combination with Fuzzy control. It first makes a review of different storage systems and their usefulness in various applications. Then, a closer look is made into how storage systems can be used for wind power integration. The topic of empirical mode decomposition is then gone through, as well Fuzzy control and how it can be used in wind power smoothing. It also goes through how power converters can be used to connect the energy storage system to the rest of the system, with the correct power flow. Then, simulations are done to see how the developed method would work for real world data. | en |
