The project has been used 3D seismic data from Heidrun field located in Haltenbanken area in Mid Norwegian offshore continental shelf for investigation of the regional geology by describing the main structural evolution of the Field. The application of Surface maps, Isochron maps and seismic Attribute maps, was done in order to help the seismic interpretation. For that, the seismic section in the study area was divided in three (3) stratigraphic Units that are bounded by horizons interpreted, where the main structural style are founded namely horst and grabens geometry formed in consequence of faults complex. From the investigated Unit I, the structure observed from the surface maps of Tilje FM and Åre FM are characterized by elongated normal faults tending Southwest Northeast direction although are seen some minor faults tending in Southeast directions. In consequence of faults displacements and sedimentation rate characterizing the pre rift stage, were formed grabens and horst structures appearing as depression zone in purple and uplift zone, in red color. The two last Units II and III are equal in terms of structures comparing to the previous Unit I because they all are part of pre rift stage where the salt layer plays the fundamental role for the formation of the structures. Also are seen the direction of sedimentation coming from the overall transgressive regime filling the spaces forming the synclines structures. The observation of feature through seismic section described in this project, leads to concluded that the role of the evaporites interval in the late Triassic has exerted a strong influence on structural style in the study area.
