Assessment of the production of Wisting green field through an Integrated Asset Model

Wisting is a newly discovered oil field located in the northern part of the Barents Sea, Norway. This green field is expected to produce its first oil by 2024.The field development concept selected by the operator of the asset (OMV Norge) consists of a subsea production system with wet trees and a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit is chosen as host facility. To enhance the field production, water flooding and artificial lift using multiphase pumps are included in the field development plan. This thesis describes the implementation of an Integrated Asset Model for Wisting field. The purpose of this work is to asses the development scenario and to quantify the production of the reservoir model when it is coupled with the subsea production network. It aims also to evaluate the potential of artificial lift using multiphase boosting. The license operator provided the reservoir model, whilst the network model was built during this study. Subsea production and multiphase pumping are discussed in this thesis, along with the concept of Integrated Asset Modeling. The reservoir model is simulated using Eclipse-100, the network simulation are performed using pseudo-steady flowline simulator PIPESIM. The coupling of the reservoir and network models was conducted using IAM platform (Integrated Asset Modeler). The results of the study suggest that the boosting extends the field plateau by 4 years and leads to an increase by 9\% in the asset recovery factor.
