dc.description.abstract | Innledning:
dc.description.abstract | Introduction:
3D-TEC is an ideal organization which focuses on research and development of electric cars with a modular concept and a 3D-printed body from plastic. This bachelor’s thesis includes the development process of a fastening mechanism with a purpose of attaching a 3d-printed front side panel to 3D-TEC’s chassis.
Purpose:
The developed fastening mechanism serves the purpose of contributing to the car’s modularity. This is done by eliminating the need of tools when attaching/detaching the front side panel.
Implementation
The task is solved by using creative processes, design processes and mechanical related product development with use of calculations and analysis methods.
Results:
The result of the bachelor’s thesis is a series of different sketches and modelled concepts, and data for one of the mechanisms that lays the foundation of a possible solution.
Conclusion:
Three newly developed concepts and design for fastening mechanisms that eliminates the need of tool for fastening/detaching the front side panel and contributes to the cars modularity.
