The aim of this bachelor thesis was to elucidate how young adults with anxiety can feel ”a sense of achievement” by user participation in a community mental health service. The method has been carried out with systematic literature searches in the databases Oria, PubMed andGoogle Scholar. During searches, quality assessments were taken from the five points that Thidemann (five) uses to assess the relevance and quality of the articles.Based on the results, I found literature containing these main topics; "User participation and sense of achievement", "anxiety, coping strategies, and mental health improvement processes", and "recovery and the professional role".The discussion section took on the main aim of this thesis based on theory the theory mentioned earlier, and six studies that contain research that deals with the main topics; Young adults with anxiety: A meaningful everyday life, Mastery through user involvement with day centers as arena, the nursing practitioner as aid provider for user participation and coping. The conclusion is that good relationships form the basis of pre-understanding which is reflected in how employees and users support each other, in a safe environment that does not stigmatize mental disorders and provides a mix of professional help and user involvement which allows users to both receive social support and participate actively in the service; something that can contribute to the development of mutual relationships and work as a positive coping mechanism in the daily life.
