dc.description.abstractThis bachelor thesis is a historical and theoretical study of the medium of animated film. Its main purpose has been to explore the reasons for its marginalized status within academia, as well as its public perception as something mainly made for kids. In a sentence, the thesis summary is “how and why has animation become synonymous with children’s films”.
