Animasjonsfilmens status i akademia

Abstract

Denne bacheloroppgåva er ein historisk og teoretisk studie av animasjonsfilmen som medium, med mål om å belyse grunnane til at den har vorte marginalisert i akademia, samt fått eit stempel blant sjåarar som hovudsakleg for barn. Sagt kort er problemstillinga «Korleis og kvifor har animasjonsfilm blitt synonymt med film for barn?»

This bachelor thesis is a historical and theoretical study of the medium of animated film. Its main purpose has been to explore the reasons for its marginalized status within academia, as well as its public perception as something mainly made for kids. In a sentence, the thesis summary is “how and why has animation become synonymous with children’s films”.
