Å ivareta et godt psykososialt miljø

Abstract

Et godt psykososialt miljø er et miljø preget av god trivsel, helse og læring. Det psykososiale miljøet i klasserommet var noe forskningsdeltakerne mine var svært opptatt av, og de viste en sterk bekymring for om deres kompetanse var god nok til å kunne ivareta elevenes psykososiale miljø i klasserommet. Denne bekymringen dannet grunnlaget for oppgaven; å undersøke hvilke måter en som nyutdannet kontaktlærer kan jobbe for å ivareta det psykososiale miljøet i klasserommet. Gjennom teori og begreper som har påvirkning på læringsfellesskapet, viser oppgaven hvordan en som lærer kan arbeide for å skape gode relasjoner med elevene, som vil ha påvirkning på elevenes utvikling, trivsel og læring i skolen. Oppgaven diskuterer hvordan relasjonsarbeid kan jobbes med innenfor det rommet konstruktivistisk læringsteori gir, som er framtredende læringsteori i gjeldende læreplaner i skolen i dag. Oppgaven som helhet viser at kompetansen en trenger for å ivareta det psykososiale læringsfellesskapet er svært tilgjengelig, og noe deltakerne er trent på i sin rolle som lærer.

A good psychosocial environment is an environment characterized by good well-being, health and learning (the Education Act, 2003). The psychosocial environment in the classroom was something my research participants were very concerned about, and they showed a big concern about whether their competence was good enough to be able to maintain a positive psychosocial environment in the classroom. This concern formed the basis of the thesis; to analyze ways in which a newly educated teacher can work to maintain a positive psychosocial environment in the classroom. Through theory and concepts that have an influence on the learning community, the task shows how one as a teacher can work to create good relations with the students, which will have an influence on the students' progress, well-being and learning in school. The thesis discusses how creating good relations can be done within the learning community of constructivist learning-theory, which is prominent learning theory-in current curricula in school today. The thesis as a whole shows that the competency one needs to maintain a positive psychosocial learning community is very accessible, and something the participants are trained to do in their role as a teacher.
