A smart application for smart energy consumption.

Abstract

This report describes a conceptual model of a prototype for a mobile phone application for monitoring electrical consumption and controlling electrical appliances in private households. It refers to examples of existing solutions and other report on similar solutions. It guides the reader through the developement progress from requirement specification to prototyping and test evaluation. The result shows a satisfaction and a wish for this type of application among the test participants, but improvements are required. The report finishes off by describing a list of suggested improvements of the prototype before further developement.
